Fruits and Diabetes - The Link!

FRUITS AND DIABETES - THE LINK!
For decades patients have been told by health professionals to reduce the amount of fruit eaten if they had diabetes. This is contrary to the Bible's diet prescription found in Gen.1:29. Who is right? God, as always! The Bible says, “...Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar....” (Rom. 3:4) A study from the Harvard School of Public Health conducted between 1984 and 2008 that included 187,382 participants concluded that, “Eating more whole fruits—particularly apples, blueberries, and grapes—was significantly associated with a lower risk of type 2 diabetes.... (but a) greater consumption of fruit juices was linked to a higher risk of type 2 diabetes. Participants who ate at least two servings of certain whole fruits each week—blueberries, grapes, and apples, in particular—reduced their risk for type 2 diabetes by as much as 23%.” On the other hand, those who drank one or more servings of fruit juice each day increased their risk of developing type 2 diabetes by as much as 21%.” So for optimal health eat an abundance of fruits and vegetables every day but limit your intake of fruit juice!
