FRUITS & VEGETABLES

Do you desire better health? Fruits and vegetables can help you fulfill that desire. This month we will examine a few of the benefits of eating fruits and vegetables in abundance. Our Creator prescribed the optimal diet for His children. Gen. 1:29 (NKJV), “And God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food.” Inspiration tells us, “Grains, fruits, nuts, and vegetables constitute the diet chosen for us by our Creator. These foods, prepared in as simple and natural a manner as possible, are the most healthful and nourishing. They impart a strength, a power of endurance, and a vigor of intellect that are not afforded by a more complex and stimulating diet.” (MH 296) So if you are not eating at least 5-7 servings of fruits and vegetables daily why not give it a try? The scientific rationale will become obvious as we address this health promoting practice this month! So for optimal health eat an abundance of fruits and vegetables every day!
