Thunder Island Vacation Bible School

 

Vacation Bible School is a hands-on, Spirit-led week that focuses on a different theme each year. Our theme is explored through prayer, singing, worship, crafts, games, small group discussions, and so much more!

At this Vacation Bible School kids will explore Thunder Island, a place where God speaks to us from the thunder to tell us how much He loves us! They’ll love learning more about Jesus through Bible stories from the Gospel of John. Five days of Christ-centered activities will help kids see that God is always with us.

 

Our Key Verse this year:

“I give a new rule to you. Love one another. You must love each other as I have loved you. In this way, everyone will know you are my disciples. They know it if you really love each other.” John 13:34, 35 (EasyEnglish Bible)

DROP OFF & PICK UP

On the first day of VBS, please arrive between 4:45-5:30pm to get your child(ren) signed in and allow time for them to get settled into their seats. The rest of the week, the schedule will be as follows:

Drop off: 5:00-5:30pm

Pick up: 7:30-7:45pm

 

PARENT/GUARDIAN INFORMATION

Children will receive a snack at the end of the program, each evening. No peanut products will be used. If your child has any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please indicate that information on the registration form.
 

We understand that it can be hard for children to leave their parents and meet new friends, especially on the first day. If you would like to stay during VBS on registration day or during the week, please let our leaders know. We also kindly ask that if you will be staying, you help out our staff by participating in activities. If your child is in the elementary program, we encourage you to let your child experience VBS on their own after Monday.
 

If your child has a cell phone, please make sure it stays with you during VBS. The church phone number will be available to you for emergencies.
 

Parents/guardians are welcome to join the closing program each day at 7:0pm.
